Welcome to Alpha Anywhere! This guide will walk you through setting up StudyReel for your child. Follow these simple steps to get started with personalized learning in just a few minutes.

Installing StudyReel
Getting StudyReel up and running is quick and easy. Whether you're using a Mac or Windows computer, we've got you covered with simple download links and step-by-step instructions.
Mac Users
Click the download button below to get the Mac installer package. The file will download automatically to your Downloads folder.
Windows Users
Click the download button below to get the Windows installer. Once downloaded, simply click the file to begin installation.

Step 1: Begin Setup
Starting the Installation
After downloading the installer file, locate it in your Downloads folder and double-click to open it. You'll see a welcome screen with a prominent "Begin Setup" button.
Click this button to start the installation process. The setup wizard will guide you through each step automatically.

Step 2: Sign In to StudyReel
Once the initial setup begins, you'll be prompted to sign in. This step connects your child's account to the StudyReel learning platform. Look for the "Sign In" button on the screen and click it to proceed.
Why Sign In?
Signing in ensures your child's progress is saved and synced across sessions. It also personalizes the learning experience based on their grade level and learning style.
What You'll Need
Have your child's 2hr Learning email address and password ready. These credentials were provided when you enrolled your child in the program.
Step 3: Enter Login Credentials
Your Child's Login Information
You'll need to enter your child's unique 2hr Learning email address. The format follows a simple pattern using their first and last name.

Use this password for initial login

Important: Make sure to type the email address exactly as shown, with a period between first and last name. The password is case-sensitive.
Step 4: Grant Permissions
StudyReel needs certain permissions to function properly on your computer. When prompted, click the "Allow" button to grant these permissions. This is a standard security step for educational software.

Privacy Note: Camera and audio permissions are only used for school-specific features and are not active during home use.
Step 5: Installation Progress
Please Wait While We Set Things Up
The installation process typically takes 2-5 minutes. During this time, StudyReel is downloading necessary learning materials, configuring your child's personalized settings, and preparing the app for first use.
You'll see a loading screen with a progress indicator. Please don't close the window or turn off your computer while installation is in progress.

Step 6a: Configure Permissions (Windows PC)
If you're using a Windows PC, StudyReel will help you configure all necessary permissions automatically. Simply click the "Next" button when prompted, and the app will guide you through each permission setting.
Audio Permission
Allows audio features (school use only)
Camera Permission
Enables video features (school use only)
Screen Recording
Monitors learning progress and activity

Mac Users: If you're using a Mac computer, skip to Step 6b below for different instructions specific to macOS.
Step 6b: Configure Permissions (Mac)
Mac users need to enable permissions manually through System Preferences. Don't worry - we'll walk you through each one. You'll need to enable three specific permissions for StudyReel to work properly.
Enable Audio Recording
Click "Allow Audio Recording" in the app. This opens the Microphone permissions window in System Preferences. Find StudyReel in the list and check the box next to it. Close the window when done.
Enable Camera Recording
Click "Allow Camera Recording" in the app. The Camera permissions window will open. Locate StudyReel and enable the permission by checking the box. You're doing great - one more to go!
Enable Screen Recording
Finally, verify that Screen Recording is enabled. This permission should show a green checkmark in the StudyReel app. If not, click to open System Preferences and enable it.

Remember: Camera and audio permissions are required but only active during school sessions, not during home use. Your family's privacy is always protected.
Step 7: Complete Student Profile
Final Setup Step
You're almost done! The last step is entering your child's age and current grade level. This information helps StudyReel personalize the learning experience and deliver age-appropriate content.

Finish the installation and start learning!
Congratulations! You're All Set!
